Impact of Kinetic Models on Methanol Synthesis Reactor Predictions: In Silico Assessment and Comparison with Industrial Data

چکیده

The reactor is one of the most important equipment to be designed for optimal process operations. An appropriate modeling leads an efficient and conceptual design, simulation, eventually construction. key success in this step mainly related kinetics. present work centered toward simulation aims at comparing three different kinetic models methanol synthesis. comparison shows how refitted Graaf model, presented a previous study, effectively predicts performance modern synthesis loops. To pursue objective, we simulated Aspen HYSYS technologies (the popular plants) compared results with industrial data. proposed case study demonstrates that model more accurate output prediction than well-established original Vanden Bussche–Froment models, which are currently considered benchmark, thus showing potential candidate future applications.
